Father’s Day is that one day of the year that Dads are to be celebrated, lauded really, for the support that they give us each and every day of the year. So, instead of the traditional tie or monogrammed golf towel, why not throw your Dad a little cocktail party, replete with ‘manly’ cocktails and snacks?

What I have done for the snacks is picked a couple that my Dad and brother (a father of 4 boys!) are big fans of, and a couple that I know they would love. Well, a couple that I know my Dad will love and one that I know my brother will love and one that he will try because he’s so awesome :).

Oh, and in case you’re wondering, yep, that’s my Dad in the picture above. I wish that I could throw this party for him, but alas, we live several hours away from each other. The next time I see him though, he can expect to be treated like a king. Happy Father’s Day, Dad!!! And Happy Father’s Day to you too, big brother.

The ‘manly’ drinks: Rusty Nail, The Godfather, Whiskey Smash, Old-Fashioned

The ‘manly’ snacks: Maple Spiced Nuts, Blue Cheese & Shallot Dip, Hot Pepper Jelly Tarts (it’s okay, it’s not like they’re mini quiches!!), Bacon-Wrapped Scallops

Cute picture. I’m sure he has grown up a bit by now.

Lucky guy to have a daughter like you to throw him a private party in the future.
